As some of you know, there is a lawsuit against me that is a personal act of reprisal from some politically connected adversaries who I antagonized.

We got it dismissed out of the gate at the trial court, it was reversed on appeal, and today it was rejected by the US Supreme Court, so it comes back to the lower court for trial. Not awful, but not the best news either. Not as sad as this Sunchaser.

I have every faith in you that things will work out well in the end. Sorry you’re going to have to spend time litigating this, though, IM.

I know we don’t always agree on points of politics or policies, but you’ve always struck me as a guy who tries his best to do what he thinks is right, especially by your clients. Sucks that doing that means someone else turned it into a personal grudge against you, but you’ll be ok. And if it ever feels like too much, just give Pumpkin some scritches. :)

That’s a bullshit move. I hope it works out in your favor. Professional disagreements should never turn personal. Just keep doing what you think is right and never let go of your integrity.

After you prevail in lower court, go after this guy for vexatious litigation. You might be able to win some attorneys’ fees back.
